Our Vision Registration Coaches/Referees Contact Us
The goal of Region 151 under the AYSO organization is to encourage the growth of soccer and promote positive child development. Although everyone engaged in sporting competition should have a desire to win, this desire should not be pursued to the exclusion of good sportsmanship, fair play and participation.
Volunteers Needed!

AYSO is an all-volunteer organization. Region 151 needs the involvement of parents or other adults as volunteers.

It takes approximately 300 volunteers to run our region soccer program each year.

We are currently in need of several volunteers to help run a successful program.

It’s the volunteers who provide the help and support to the players---your children.

Volunteer Positions can be tailored to fit your time availability and expertise!!

The following are some of the areas we need help in:

  • Coach/Assistant Coach
  • Net Coordinator and Weekly Net Set up and take down
  • Referee Instructors
  • Referee/Assistant Referee
  • and many other opportunities and positions

All Volunteers including coaches, referees and board members are required to fill out a yearly volunteer form.

These can be completed on line at www.eayso.org and bring it with you to registration. (Please bring 2 copies). or mail signed papers to:

Region 151 Goals

Weather Policy

AYSO's policy is that we play in the rain unless there is lightening or standing water on the field. If there is snow on the ground we do not play. If you choose NOT to play a game, you must first notify the other Coach AND Referee Administrator. Make up games are to be rescheduled at a time convenient to the two teams. We usually reserve the weekend after the last scheduled games to play region-wide make up games ( if everyone got rained or snowed out.) You may use this time to play an individual rescheduled game. For an individual rescheduled game, the coaches will be responsible for nets and providing referees and/or linesmen.

Safe Haven Training for all Volunteers

Safe haven is a program to protect the children and volunteers in AYSO. This is in reference to the Child Abuse, Prevention and Treatment Act of 1974 and the Volunteer Protection Act of 1997. AYSO was the first youth sports organization to create a formal program to comply with the Child Protection Act and Volunteer Protection Act.

What Safe Haven Means to Parents

The purpose of the Volunteer Protection Act of 1997 (VPA) is to provide certain protections to volunteers in lawsuits based on the activities of volunteers. You must be trained, certified and act in accordance with a strict job description. If you have not received Safe Haven Training, you may obtain this certification on-line.
